Currently we are in Swanson Harbor and expect to stay here two days. We departed Glacier bay yesterday and it was an 8 hour trip to get out of the bay and back here. It turns out, Glacier bay is a huge wilderness area with no services of any kind. Even the VHF radio could not reach the ranger station from the northern and most beautiful area of the bay.
I will just foreshadow that this part of the trip did not disappoint.
I have so much to catch up on and post but I am currently sorting through over 600 pictures and videos. A quick shot of the trip yesterday -- it was rainy, cold, foggy
and windy which is a perfect day to stay inside driving where it is warm. I will get caught up and try to get some good pictures out today.
In the meantime, here is a picture out the window from yesterday as we exited glacier bay to find a place to rest and recover for a couple of days.
