Good Bye Glacier Bay

We had to leave the bay and we did so with great memories of glaciers and wildlife and friends. I am pleased that we have put aside these special places to enjoy and keep for future generations. It was very difficult getting the permit to get in and impossibly hard to change but I will always remember it as a magical place.

Matt and Tonia had left us two days earlier and we had a date to keep in Swanson Cove. We checked out of the bay and just headed straight there for a couple of days of rest and to prepare for our next adventure. We were totally exhausted and we had a good deal of clean up to do. We took on water and disposed of trash at Bartlett cove and we had two days of chores and relaxing to do prior to our next rendezvous with Sudden Inspiration.
