Back through Peril Straits

We decided, with the advice of Kevin and Laura, to backtrack through Peril Straits and visit the east side of Baranof island with the intent of hitting a few coves that came highly recommended. We left Sitka with a full tank of water and fully armed with newfound knowledge. Emboldened with our experience with Peril Straits, we charged through Serguis Narrows a full half hour off of high tide slack and this time with the current. We flew through at 11 Knots laughed at the coast pilot.

We stayed that night at Appleton Cove back in the large section Peril Straits and as we pulled into the cove we spot Docktails. We met Tom and Tessa in Petersburg and invited them over for happy hour. There seem to be a small number of boats we keep running into. It was very nice as we share stories of places to see and experiences. A very fun evening.

Just an overnight but another beautiful place. We stopped here out of convenience as we were already 6 1/2 hours out of Sitka and getting tired.
