Yesterday was a beautiful day and it was time to take a dinghy ride. After a relaxing morning we headed over to Patos island. We tried to take CODA there earlier in this trip but we were unable to accomplish it. The dinghy is the right vehicle for this job.
It is a beautiful deserted island. We landed on a beach and walked around a bit. We could not go too far as the tide was coming in and I did not want to lose the dinghy to the sea.
We did find a lovely boat that I considered making an offer on. The name is Misty but I was thinking of renaming it to Sedna. What? Too soon?
We also had the opportunity to meet Harry the harbor seal. He just did not care enough to run away and really did not want to chat to much.
After all of this we returned and joined our friends Rob and Kelly with son Chris and Erin for dinner. They hosted us on their Ranger Tug and it was delightful. Chris made Whiskey Sours and we had crackers and cheese, Stew and side dishes. I did not take a picture to share.
It was a perfect with a perfect sunset to wrap it up.
Another perfect day.
This morning pulled roots again and headed to Prevost Harbor. We had a bit of trouble anchoring as the bottom appeared to be rock and we could not get a hold. We also had no internet so we decided to just go around to Reid Harbor where we know we can have it all.
We will head to Roche and provision for the long trip north to Alaska. Our scheduled departure date is early Saturday morning.
