La Conner

I needed to stop in La Conner for a couple of reasons and I will need to be here for several days. The new owner of Maverick asked for my help in his first move of Maverick from La Conner to Anacortes. Not a long drive but enough to give him an orientation. We are going to do that when the tide changes today since we will be headed up the narrow and shallow Swinomish Channel. I did take a walk to town and had a nice Breakfast with Barb this morning and I took this classic pictures. Kinda makes me weepy.



A couple of beautiful boats. Next, I am having the cook top removed from coda and replacing it with an oven and stove combination. The current oven is a convection oven as part of the microwave, but it is small and runs on electric power. Not the best solution for being at anchor and making cinnamon rolls or bread. That process should take 3 days (Mon-Wed) and I am hoping to be out and headed north later this week.
